Welcome to Sumatra! Arrive at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan and meet your guide. Drive through the countryside toward Bukit Lawang, a small village on the edge of the Gunung Leuser National Park - one of the last places on Earth where orangutans live wild. The 4-hour drive passes through palm oil plantations (learning about conservation challenges) and traditional Karo Batak villages. Arrive at your eco-lodge on the banks of the Bohorok River, surrounded by pristine rainforest.
